Quest For Self Actualization: Reaching beyond the Illusion

For myself I believe self actualization (1) is a spiritual journey without an end. We may come to the end of one particular instance of experience, such as life as a human, but the journey continues. However, while in human form there is an illusion that we are only what we perceive through our physical senses. Some people have managed to see past the illusion such as Nikola Tesla (2).

“My brain is only a receiver, in the Universe there is a core from which we obtain knowledge, strength and inspiration. I have not penetrated into the secrets of this core, but I know that it exists. (~Tesla 2a)”

Edgar Cayce (3) reached beyond the illusion which allowed him access to Universal knowledge. And Robert Monroe gives us specific instructions (4) for reaching beyond the illusion of the 3rd dimension. Its not a secret, it costs you nothing and you do not need a spiritual broker to achieve spiritual evolution. Most of the processes involve getting into a meditative state. This is not rocket science. You don’t need to attend a seminar on meditative techniques. Find a place of quiet, close your eyes and do not focus on the thoughts in your head, but rather follow the visual images that are likely to pop up. It requires patience and continual daily practice. You don’t do this in a course of “10 easy steps towards spiritual awakening”.

Another major tool for achieving spiritual awareness is through your dreams. This is the simplest and easiest method. Pay attention to the information offered in your dreams. The Australian Aborigines (5) use the method very effectively in maintaining a connection with their ancestors.
Self actualization is a process not a destination. You are not broken, you don’t need to be fixed and you have the ability to create your own reality (6).
